As many of you will know, all of our children who attend the Future of Taru Academy are living in poverty. Our Charity ensures local children receive a quality education and food every day in a happy and open environment, transforming their lives and giving them hope for a better future, while supporting their families to make life progress.
Together with the fantastic backing of a continually growing number of sponsors and supporters, and with the skills and enthusiasm of our dedicated Board of volunteer Trustees, we work together to govern and develop the Charity to ensure the work we do and the goals of the organisation are in line with our vision, mission and values.
We have already made our first successful shipment of items to Taru earlier this year, the contents of which was massively welcomed by our pupils and staff alike.
We aim to make our next shipment towards the end of 2022, and hope to be able to collect as many of the following items as possible in order to further support our school. We will gratefully receive new or used, good condition donations.
Ruck Sacks
Black school shoes, laces & plimsolls
socks, underwear, bras, red sweatshirts
pens, pencils, maths sets and stationery
adult football boots, shin pads, goalkeeper gloves & Footballs (size 3 & size 5)
and also: 9ft skipping ropes
computer memory sticks
and musical instruments: keyboards, percussion instruments, Banjos, violins, & smaller string instruments
If you are able to donate any of the above items, oy have other items that you think may be of interest to us, then please email futureoftaru@gmail.com
We have trustees who are able to make collections from you in the following locations: CARLISLE, SOUTH CUMBRIA, WIGAN, CHESHIRE, NORTH WALES/LIVERPOOL & YORK.
We are aiming to have all items collected by the first week of December, 2022.
If you are able to support us with our shipping fees so that we can ensure that these items get safely to Taru, we have setup a fundraising page too. You can make a donation by clicking here.
Thank you on behalf of everyone at the Future of Taru.
